Emraan Hashmi: KK will always hold a special place in my heart -Exclusive | Hindi Movie News

Singer KK and Emraan Hashmi‘s creative partnership gave movie fans memorable songs like Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai (Gangster), Zara Sa (Jannat), Dil Ibaadat (Tum Mile) and many more. Like the rest of the world, Emraan was taken aback by the sudden demise of the singer, who suffered a heart attack and succumbed at the age of 53.

Speaking exclusively to ETimes, Emraan said, “I woke up to this heartbreaking news today. I had such an amazing time collaborating with KK on all our songs. They will always hold a special place in my heart and so will he. KK has gone too soon. It is the end of an era.”

Emraan Hashmi was the go to leading man for many of Vishesh Films’ productions during the early 2000s and incidentally, almost all those films featured at least one memorable song in the voice of KK. Soniye (Aksar), Beete Lamhein (The Train) and Dilnashin Dilnashin (Aashiq Banaya Aapne) were also some of their hit numbers.

A few hours after KK’s passing, ETimes had also spoken to Mukesh Bhatt who had credited the singer’s passion and talent as one of the main reasons why his production house, Vishesh Films succeeded with their many musical hits.
