New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be closing the registration process for NEET PG Counselling 2022 round 1 today on its official website.
Candidates, who are interested in doing a PG in medical sciences but have not yet applied for the same, are advised not to wait till the eleventh hour and apply for NEET PG 2023 on the official website at mcc.nic.in.
Meanwhile, the MCC has added news seats upon receving fresh lists from the Institutes about new seats which could not be contributed by the colleges before the start of Round-1 of PG Counselling 2022. The LoPs from NMC were received after the start of Round-1 of counselling. Therefore, the MCC has decided to include the these MD/ MS seats in the seat matrix of Round-1 of PG Counselling 2022 for the larger interest of candidates.
Candidates can now exercise choice filling for the newly added seats for Round1 of PG Counselling 2022. Direct link to check the list of newly added seats. These seats were added on Thursday.
The registration can be done up to 12 noon on September 23, 2022, however, the payment facility will be available up to 08:00 PM. The Choice Filling/ Locking will be done between September 20 and 25, 2022 while the choice can be locked from 3 PM to 11:55 PM on September 25, 2022.
As per the tentative schedule, verification of internal candidates by the respective universities/institutes for NEET 50% AIQ and 100% deemed/central universities/AFMS/PG DNB seats 2022, will be conducted from September 23, 2022, to September 24, 2022.

The result for NEET PG Counselling 2022 will be announced on September 28 and candidates can join/report to their respective allotted colleges from September 29, 2022.
There will be four rounds of AIQ counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Rounds and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round. All candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET PG conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) will be eligible for participation in the counselling process.

The candidates who have joined a seat in round 2 of State quota counselling or AIQ counselling will not be eligible for further rounds of counselling.Candidates are informed that they will be shown only the Clear-cut Vacancies in Round 1.
Also, the vacancy position of the seats will be shown in three categories during Round 2, which are as follows:
a) Clear-cut vacancies – The seats which have not been allotted in Round 1.
b) Virtual Vacancies- Any Candidate who has been allotted a seat in Round 1 and has opted for up-gradation in Round 2, that allotted seats of Round 1 will be shown as virtual vacancy in Round 2 and Candidates can fill the said seat during the choice filling in Round 2.
